“It’s a great venue with exciting entertainment. What’s better than watching live bull riding followed by an old time country dance for New Year’s?” said Steven Puhallo, the event producer, “This is a great annual event with people from Chilliwack to Prince George coming to 'buck in' the New Year.”
“We’re into our 8th year for this event. People love the show we put on and we always get big, fun crowds! We have over 1,000 people at this event!”
The New Year’s Eve professional bullriding features bucking bulls from local stock contractors S&E Bucking Bulls, Coyote Creek and Pozzobon Bucking Bulls. S&E stock boss Ed Lebourdais is proud of the calibre of bucking bulls that will be matched against some of the world’s best bull riders, “We’ve got some of the best bulls in Canada that are ready to go. It’s going to be champion versus champion!”
The event is professionally sanctioned by Bullriders Canada. “Being professionally sanctioned allows us to attract a high calibre of bull rider. We have some of the best bull riders in the world coming.” said Puhallo.
Tickets are now on sale at The Horse Barn in Kamloops, and at the North Thompson Star/Journal in Barriere and online at facebook/farmkidsfund.
What the Bullriders are saying about this event….
Jackson Scott (Kamloops)
"...I only rode there the last two years, but I've been there the last probably five years before I even started riding bulls. Been watching it the whole time, and ...every single year it gets better and better!
The crowd gets more and more excited every year, the atmosphere, and the bulls, and everything just gets so much better. The money is better, the bull riders are better, the bulls are better. Everything about it is just absolutely amazing. …..I'll never forget this even when I'm older, I'm gonna tell my kids that you know, New Year's Eve, Bull Riders Canada that's a bull riding a guy wants to go to and he wants to win.”
