Kendra won the 2017-18 Dr. Roger H. Barnsley Scholar/Athlete Award and had a banner campaign both on and off the court. On the court, she was third in Canada West in digs with 358 and fourth in digs per set with an average of 3.73. Kendra dressed for all 24 league matches and played in 96 sets, notching 96 kills, 31 service aces, fourteen total blocks, and thirteen 13 block assists. She saw time last year as outside hitter and libero. Kendra enjoys everything outdoors, especially rock climbing and hiking. Her favourite numbers are twelve and four. Something her teammates don’t know about Kendra is that she can blow spit bubbles. If she were a super hero she would be “Farty McFartpants” and have the ability to fly due to her flatulence. If Kendra were at karaoke, she would be singing “All-star” by Smash Mouth.
Coach Grimm says: “ Kendra is ‘eligibility wise” our oldest player. She is our only girl going into fourth year. Kendra will be one of our team captains this year. She is a very well rounded player: great defensive player, solid on reception, her attack has come a long way and has good serve. We are looking for Kendra to provide some stability on and off the court.”
